Tutor Profile: I am the mother of a small child and a part-time mathematician.
I am a patient and sensitive, friendly and cheerful person.
I also have a great love for both teaching and mathematics that, combined with my character, gives me a gentle enthusiasm for the subject.
I have had 2 previous tutees at GCSE level Mathematics, both of whom were successful, and another doing a BTech in Electrical engineering.
I have taught many small groups of students in undergraduate maths courses since 2000 and three courses on computer software for beginners between 2000 and 2005.
I have also spent time as a voluntary classroom assistant in various primary schools between 1993 and 1996.
I tailor my tutoring to suit the student as learning is a very personal experience. I consider it my responsibility to find the method or explanation that suits the student, with the aim of arming the student with techniques to employ so they can achieve independent learning.

I am available to teach mathematics in one-to-one tuition. I will travel to the home or an agreed meeting place of the student, and am available most evenings and all day Thursday and Friday.
